I decided to offer Mini Sessions this spring both as a fun challenge for myself and to see how much interest there was amount my clients.
To be honest, Mini Sessions don't feel very compatible with my new long-form in-home film approach. However, I always like a challenge so I started brainstorming if there was a way that Mini Sessions could feel more like "me" and my style. I wanted these sessions to be personal, intimate and fun, but without the frenzy. I decided to offer Mini Sessions at a local venue (the stunning McAlister-Leftwich House) to keep the schedule efficient, but I decided to shoot with film because I love the final images so much. In order to create a personal, intimate vibe, I decided to offer these Mini Sessions to families that I've worked with before, or that I know personally. That way there would be no get-to-know-you-awkwardness to push through.
And I've got to say, we had a blast. Each of these families came ready to play and I'm really proud of the images we created together.
What do you think about Mini Sessions? do you prefer them to In-Home Sessions?
